How about shows that lasted too long?
Andy Griffith Show. Not the show itself but when it remade itself as Mayberry RFD.
One could argue ER overstayed it’s welcome by five seasons.
NYPD Blue, did anyone really watch Ricky Schroeder?
Sopranos by two seasons
The Lucy Show, same as Mayberry RFD

That would be a good list…and I that’s a great start to it. How about “Here’s Lucy,” with a clip on the right, that came after “The Lucy Show” and on its own lasted 6 seasons or so.
Did we need that many seasons of Gunsmoke? Or Bonanza when Joe left?
We will definitely have a whole list of shows that jumped the shark too…which reminds me, “Happy Days” went too long.

Friends is the absolute example of this category. And I still believe it can turn itself around, but The Simpsons is probably in it as well.

In regard to Bonanza: Joe never left. You must be thinking of Adam, who left after six seasons, or Hoss, who unfortunately died.
