New on Fridays and Sundays this Fall

Posted by Mr. Feeny on September 1, 2009

There’s just a handful of new programming on the weekend, including none on Saturday, so it makes sense to include them all together in one post. And all but one of them is a comedy. Very different types of comedies, though. One’s an animated spin-off (and the third offering from Seth MacFarlane), one’s an hour long substitute for Psych, one stars Michael Strahan (yes, the football player), and one will struggle to be seen on HBO. Their success with Curb Your Enthusiasm, Flight of the Conchords and Entourage makes me optimistic about Bored to Death…especially with Ted Danson…but the preview was dull. Unfortunately, CJ and Christopher don’t have the HBO, so you’ll have to just take my word for it once it premieres…or your own, I guess.
