Companion Pieces: Project Runway (S6: E11)

Not liking what they're seeing?

What an episode.  I have to say, I really liked the challenge.  The 6 remaining designers (only 6?!?!?!) had to design a companion piece for their winning looks.  Sadly, they have sent all the interesting people home, so Lifetime is grasping at straws to make drama on the show.  (Accusations of boob tape!  And sweater copying!  NOEZ!)

Let me say one other thing about our remaining designers.  Althea.  Goodness.  That feathered hair?  Does she think she’s Farrah Fawcet?  Make it stop!

Anyway, for the remaining six, the stuff that went down the runway was not spectacular.  Althea was the challenge winner for her harem pants (which were HORRIBLE in my opinion, but Heidi loved them) and oversized sweater.  Carol Hannah made a little black dress that was cute, but boring, and earned her a spot in the final five.  Irina made a nice camel colored dress with another oversized sweater to complement her Aspen look from last week.  In the bottom, we had Gordana, Logan, and Christopher.  Christopher’s dress looked like drapes.  Gordana’s jacket and skirt combo was a total snooze (I would have sent her home if it was up to me).  Logan’s popped collar and fluffed skirt looked like 2001: A Space Odyssey according the judges, and he was sent home.

But seriously, designers (said in Tim Gunn voice), step up your game.  You’re in the final five.  Make something exciting!!!

Only one more challenge until Bryant Park!

I think Irina’s gonna win.
